Upriver Youth Leadership Council (UYLC) is providing a Water Balloon Volley Ball day on Wednesday, June 27th , from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Kamiah park, for youth grades 4th-12th. Each participant will need a towel. Water Balloon Volley Ball requires team work. There are six positions on the court for each team. A player then takes a towel and grabs a partner. One player takes one end of the towel, and the other player is on the opposite side. Both players grasp the towel on the end and hold it open ready to catch the water balloon. When players are trying to get the water balloon over the net to the other side, both players need to work together in swinging the water balloon in the towel and launching it to the other team. Think of a catapult! If the water balloon hits the ground, the round is over. Whichever team won, gets the point. It takes practice to get the concept down, but it is really fun once you get the hang of it.
